Neil Gaiman, Carnegie Award, Libraries

Neil GaimanI’m a great fan of Neil Gaiman, and am lucky enough to be such a relatively recent convertĀ  that I ration myself on discovering his writing. He also comes across as an open and engaging character who encourages others.

Winning multiple awards recently for The Graveyard Book, here he is on comics and literary success, interviewed on the BBC. Not exactly revealing, but a thumbnail introduction to an inspiring cross-genre author. His acceptance speech includes a warning about the threat of library closures in an attempt to reduce costs in today’s economic climate.
